1914 Oliver (jnr) and brother George sailed to Canada on the SS Victoria. Their ages on the passenger manifest tally but unfortunately that list gave no addresses. Both were farmers. The record below suggests George returned to the UK and then left in 1922.
1922 Declaration of passenger to Canada Feb 24th 1922 SS Montcalm
Had departed from Canada on Oct 14 1921.
Date of previous entry to Canada 1912 (smudged, could be 1914)
This appears to confirm he had returned for war service.
Single male, Birth place Bolton, age 27, farmer, returning home to 45 Banatyne Avenue Winnipeg. Had left Canada for a holiday. Nearest relative in UK Dr O Eaton, Bingham Notts.
