Served on Western Front, Palestine and Mesopotamia
Long Long Trail web site 272nd coy joined “A” Bn, in XIX Corps on 21 May 1918. Formed in XIX Corps from MG Companies from Egypt, on 21 May 1918. Consisted of 221, 262, 271 and 272 MG Coys. Joined 30th Division, 29 June 1918, and re-designated No 31 Bn, MGC. XIX Corps was involved in the battles around Passchendaele in 1917.
