Height 5’ 5½”; chest 35½”. Hazel eyes and dark brown hair.

Served until 31 March 1916 at various training establishments.

Transferred to RAF on 6th September 1916. Trade: Joiner. Appointed Air Mechanic.
Promoted Leading Mechanic 1st February 1918; Corporal Mechanic 1st April 1914.

Next of Kin: wife; Ada Scothern, 19 Park Terrace, Colwick Vale, Nottinghamshire.
Transferred to reserve 21st February 1919; “Deemed discharged” 30th April 1920.
Roll of Honour Not on roll of honour for Bingham as he had moved away, but his brother is, so it seemed appropriate to include him on our list. Several names on the roll have less connection with Bingham than Harry!

Harry’s father married Harriet Gill in 1866 in Sheffield. He was working as a labourer in an iron works. The 1871 census shows 8 adults from East Bridgford or Bingham living in the same street. The men all worked in the iron works.
